Bobcat Trail!

All Cub Scouts must complete the Bobcat trail prior to moving on in the Tiger, Wolf, Bear or Webleos trail in your Handbook.

When a Cub Scout completed his Bobcat trail, he will be
presented with the Bobcat badge at the next Pack meeting.

Their is only 8 items to complete for success!

From your Handbook, complete these items in any order:

# 1) Learn the Cub Scout Promise
# 2) Say the Law of the Pack and what it means
# 3) Tell what Webelos means.
# 4) Show the Cub Scout sign. Tell what it means
# 5) Show the Cub Scout handshake. Tell what it means
# 6) Say the Cub Scout Motto - Do your Best
# 7) Give the Cub Scout salute. Tell what it means
# 8) With your parent of guardian, complete the exercises in the booklet How to Protect Your Children from Child Abuse.
   - This section is in the front of every Cub Scout handbook.

The Bobcat Badge
Once you've completed the above items, your new Bobcat will be honored at the next Pack meeting for achieving this new badge.

The Cub master or Den leader will present your Scout with this badge, so you do not have to purchase one.

Please have this badge sewn on by the next Pack meeting.

Helpful hints
This area is meant to remind our Cub Scouts of what we learned last year or is to provide a quick tips for the parent or guardian helping our Scout with the Bobcat trail.

# 1) I, _____________________, promise to do my best To do my duty to God and my country, To help other people, and To obey the Law of the Pack.

# 2) The Law of the Pack:
The Cub Scout follows Akela ( A-Kay-la ) - The Cub Scout helps the pack go.
The pack helps the Cub Scout grow - The Cub Scout gives goodwill

# 3 )
Webelos ( say WE-buh-lows ) mean We'll Be Loyal Scouts.
    - being loyal means that you will keep the Cub Scout Promise.

# 4) Make the Cub Scout sign with your RIGHT hand. Using your two fingers, hold with your arm straight up. The Cub Scout sign looks like Wolves ears. Which also means your ready to listen to Akela.

# 5) Picture in book is best

# 6) DO YOUR BEST. Whatever a Cub Scout does, he will do his best regardless of the end result. Win, lose of draw... it's doing his best that matters.

# 7) Picture in book is best

# 8) This section covers more then a couple one liners. Please read and work with your Scout How to Protect against Child Abuse.
