Boys Life Magazine

Your Cub Scout receives a free subscription to the magazine "Boys Life" with his Cub Scouts annual fee. The Boys Life magazine has been a staple of good reading for many many Scouts over the years and I'm sure you'll find this magazine a good resource for things to do with your Cub Scout.

From the Cub Scouts Application
Boys’ Life is the monthly magazine of the Boy Scouts of America. It will help your son and stimulate his interest in good reading. His subscription is only $12.00 a year (half the new regular rate of $24.00 a year). Just check the Boys’ Life box on the application. Please calculate and remit the appropriate state and local taxes. On late registrations it may be necessary to deliver back issues.

Boys Life magazine delivery clarification
A question has come up about the Cub Scout enrollment and Boys Life magazine. Even though we begin Cub Scouts in September, boys are not actually enrolled until they go on the Charter and it is sent in. Our Charter was sent to the home office in December which is when it is due. The Charter is effective from February to January, that is how the calendar year runs. So they boys remain in Scouts until January 2008 when we send in an update to the Charter this December. So the boys will officially be enrolled in to Scouts next month. Boys Life magazine actually starts in April and runs for one year. So for those of you wondering, the boys will begin receiving it in April through next March 2008.
