Supporting the growth of Cub Scouts!

The Cub Scouts of Pack 618 reach out through its Foundation

The Den Leaders of Pack 618 announce the creation of the "Cub Scout Foundation" (CSF)

Through the CSF, this newly created program will assist qualifying families with Cub Scout application and uniform expenses during tough economic times.

Our goal is simple: If a boy wants to be a Scout but the expenses for Scouting is "just not in the budget" for families in tough economics times... we'll help.

Some families just don't have the extra money to put their boys in Scouts. Many times during the first few weeks of a new Cub Scout season, money is the difference between a young boy joining the Scouts and not.

Although the Cub Scout application fee is very reasonable ($10 in 2008) the expense of the Cub Scout uniform and Pack annual dues can be the tipping point in some families budgets.

Witnessing this first hand over the past three years, the Den Leaders of Pack 618 have decided to extend a helping hand to qualifying families.

This area is not yet completed. I will post further information as we develop this program further.
