Santa Cruz Webelos do some clean up at DeLaveaga Elementary school

Webelos Scouts, Rowen, Michael, Nico, Noah, Luke, Jack, Taylon, William, Nolan, Charlie

Dateline: Santa Cruz, California - November 11, 2008

The Santa Cruz Cub Scouts "Webelos" Den took a hike to DeLaveaga Elementary School and did some "clean up"

As part of a "community service" Scouts function, our Webelos decided to clean up where they go to school. The Webelos cleaned up trash as well as recycled anything that could go into the blue cans!

Although the Scouts couldn't pick up all of the trash left behind from soccer Saturday, the Scouts did make a noticeable difference after we were finished

Thanks Webelos and let's all try to do our part in keeping trash in its place... the trash can!

Then they finished up with some swinging fun at the rope swing (off school property)

"It was total fun!" said Jack G

Nolan said, "Awesome!"

In the end, it was a good time all around. The Scouts did some community service, got to swing on the rope swing and took a long walk as a group which proved to be a success.

Way to go Scouts!
